I normally avoid simpler knots, but when I was asked to do a five-pointed star it was necessary to tie one with only four leads since the "single line" Turk's Head can't have the same number of leads and bights, and to make one more complex would obscure the star in needless complexity. For those inclined to notice such things, please observe that the star is suspended "right side up".
4-lead 5-bight pentagram pendant

4-lead 5-bight Fine Silver Pentagram Pendant, approx 1" diameter.

This is all one color, so the star is subtle -- The ones I've done in two colors, either alternating colors in one wire or parallel colors, are considerably more trouble to do, and thus virtually priceless. (i.e., unmarketable)
